Sometimes she's normal though. She took me to lunch at Taco Bell once after we had a big fight. I grabbed a table while she went to order and this like creepy old guy is all, "Oh I love your hair!"

So I was like thanks. And then he starts touching my hair and talking about how soft and pretty it is. So I was like totally weirded out and I was like, "Mom!"

So she like body slams him on the table and arrests him.

My mom is such a psycho cop woman. But she totally rocks.

Bahaha. This fic is so old but it never GETS old. Lol, one of my favs. So simple yet funny and endearing :)

Title: Chapter 1: 1/1

Rescue by jabyar [AC] [Reviews - 675]

"How had it come to be that she, a person normally so strong and independent, had been rendered so helpless as to lack control over her own ability to die?"

Dear readers, I recommend in the strongest possible terms that you abide by the AC rating.

Apologies everyone, this is a TOTAL false alarm. This story is NOT updated... I was trying to edit a chapter (something's wrong with the upload function) and ended up deleting it and to repost it it thought I was adding a new chapter....

Title: Chapter 49: Progress

Reviewer: wonderwait | Date: May 18, 2009

Okay, honestly this was one of the most interesting parts of your story. I love how you show everything from Dickie's POV and the psychology you tie in with it. Amazing. Because El and Liv aren't the only ones fucked up from it...

Author's Response: Wonderwait, thank you SO much for this review. Honestly, I was a bit nervous about this chapter because I was afraid people would feel it was a detraction from the central plot. Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed it.
Title: Chapter 46: Absolution - Part 1

Reviewer: wonderwait | Date: May 25, 2009

This is a really hard story to read. I'm sure you get that all the time, but I have to say it. However, it is also a really, REALLY great story because of the psychology you use in it. Everything is very real. I'm not sure how to say it, but this story is so painful to read because this shit is REAL. It happens. Heartbreaking, but you tell it well.

And when she walked, or showered, or did any of the numerous mundane things she did during her day, she no longer fantasized about razor blades and tainted, poisoned blood, nor about the dark, inviting, rippling waters of the Hudson.

OMG I was so happy Olivia finally got to this point. It was so hard seeing her so broken, and I seriously felt like a burden was lifted when I read this. It's very realistic, though, the time that you used to have her recover. Because I know from personal experience that it always gets worse before it gets better. And you showed that in a very accurate (albeit exhausting) way.

But though no one could deny that Olivia was beautiful, beneath the casual ponytail and laid-back jeans, Kathy could now see some cracks in her usually flawless appearance. For one thing, she looked thin. She had used to be curvaceous and confident and muscular, conscious of and at peace with her shapeliness. And now she was noticeably thinner. Thinner and paler and… brittle. She clutched Elliot’s elbow as she traversed the room like a noble damsel clinging to the arm of her knight. It was the loving, affectionate expression of a new bride who couldn’t bear to lose physical contact with her husband, but on Olivia it was utterly out of place. She was depending on him for support, for protection. Kathy had never seen Olivia embody such an aura of fragility. It was as though she were staring at Olivia’s more subdued, timid, identical twin. It was Olivia’s body standing before her, but it was not Olivia.

I LITERALLY cried when I read this. And I hate to say, I'm not entirely sure why. I guess its because it is so horrible for me to think of Olivia as anything other than that unbreakable pillar of strength. I mean, that is why I love the character so much-- because she's strong, she's hearty, she's never afraid. Gah, so in one paragraph you literally ripped my heart apart.

This review is already too long, but I'm also going to add that I think you have an amazing talent. Again, you've probably heard it before, but this fic is just utterly beautiful in its heartbreak and trauma and realness. Thank you for that.

ps. Crash :)

Author's Response: Wonderwait, apologies for taking so long to respond to this. Honestly, I don't know what to say. It is the greatest compliment when a reader actually quotes lines back to me, letting me know what worked. Sorry it made you cry (but of course I'm secretly glad :)) And oh, don't apologize for the length of the review. Long is good! And yes, it was good for Olivia to be over the "wave" of depression she was feeling in previous chapters. But not to worry, this incident won't go unaddressed. Anyhow, thank you SO much once again for taking the time to review - it means so much to me.

Number four is my favorite.

For four months they make everyone’s life hell. They are a couple of six-year-olds who need to go ahead and have at it on the playground. Go ahead, Elliot, pull her pigtails; and, Liv, just kick him in the balls and get it over with.

Seriously this is all of season 8. Over and over and over, every fucking episode.

He touches her again and she’s resolved to accidentally-on-purpose shoot him in the balls, or maybe she’ll just tell Elliot. What the hell is that? Isn’t this why she asked for a new partner? Because she doesn’t need a knight in shining armor? Fuck that bullshit, she’ll just shoot him. It will be much less complicated.

Very Liv. You got her down good.

Most of the pool participants bet on Olivia because she is a woman. Emotions and all that. Munch and Fin divide the pool money because they know, without a shadow of a doubt, junkies always go back to the drug they love best.

So true. He is so addicted to her, it's ridiculous. And she is stronger.

Number five... well, damn. It's an interesting concept. I love how Liv goes in and handles everything for him.

Number two... I hate it. Like, it rips my heart apart. It was so sudden and final I teared up. I hate it but it's the best one out of all five.

The job resumes its rightful place as dictator of their lives. It turns out not to matter, because this time Olivia needed him, and while he was saving Megan she bled out and died at 5:42 p.m. on April 1, 2007. He knows then the joke is on him. He wants to retire, and debates eating his gun.

Yeah, because of that.

Amazing story, it's easily going in my favs.

Disclaimer: They were mine, but we got into an argument. If you see them, tell them I want my BFF charm bracelet back.

Um, I love you?

And I am finding this story very interesting. The dynamics between Liv and Cassidy are a lot different than I expected, but still neat to watch.

And Liv/El. Oh damn, it's heartbreak and anger and WONDERFUL. I can't wait for your next update!
